Joining Laird Norton Company in 2015, Matt Hill is the Director of Corporate Development. In this role, he oversees and analyzes the Company’s corporate investments portfolio and asset allocation. He has a variety of assignments, including acquisitions, financing, long-term strategic planning, and portfolio monitoring.  He also serves on the boards of LNC portfolio companies Laird Norton Wetherby (LNW), as an associate director and Heartland LLC, as a director.

Prior to joining Laird Norton Company, Matt was a Senior Associate in the Valuation Services Group at Grant Thornton, LLP. While there, he conducted valuations for business enterprises, financial securities, and intellectual property across various industry segments.

He received a BBA in finance from Baylor University and an MBA from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. He is an active member of the greater Seattle business community participating in the  Association for Corporate Growth and the Seattle Finance Collective.  

Matt and his wife Stephanie moved from Dallas, Texas to Seattle in 2015 and, in 2020, they moved to Tacoma, Washington. On the weekends, there is a good chance you can find them at a local coffee shop, the Point Defiance Zoo, or the LeMay Car Museum, a favorite of their son Liam who loves cars! Matt is an avid golfer, and he and his family enjoy hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
