Laird Norton Giving Back with the YMCA

Giving Back with the YMCA

June 5, 2025

Our team spent a rewarding day volunteering with the YMCA at the Roy Street Transitional Housing Project, helping clean and refresh the property for individuals on their path to stable housing.

This transitional living site, located in Capitol Hill, offers up to two years of intensive, individualized support to young adults in our community. Many residents have experienced housing instability, domestic violence, involvement with the foster care system, or other challenging circumstances.

Through an inclusive approach to supportive services, the program meets each participant where they are in their journey, offering access to behavioral health care, case management, and life skills training. It’s designed to help young people process and interrupt cycles of trauma while building the confidence, tools, and stability needed to thrive and transition to independent living.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support such a vital community resource, and even more so to share the experience with our portfolio partners, Laird Norton Wetherby and Heartland LLC, as well as our Laird Norton Family Foundation Team. Service is always better together!
