Theodore H. Smyth, Jr. (Tad) began his service with Laird Norton Company in 1981 as President of Lakeside Company. Smyth later served as Associate Director and LNCO Board member; President of Triple Tree Corporation (Poco Diablo), Associate Director LNTyee; Associate Director Lanoga Corporation, and Chairman Wentworth, Hauser, Violich (WHV). He currently serves as Director of LNCO and is a member of the Real Estate Committee and Nominating Committee.

Smyth is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Journalism (BA) and Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business (MBA). His business career includes home building, financial services, fish farming and recently ranching. He is Co-Trustee of the Smyth Family Trust.

Smyth enjoys all outdoor sports including fly fishing, hiking, surfing and snow sports. He is married (Lacey), has four children Andrew (34), Kirtley (34), Chase (33) and Alec (31), and two grandchildren. Mr. Smyth lives in Ketchum, Idaho.
