We are excited to announce our partnership with SMB Climate, investing together in companies that are decarbonizing commercial buildings. Our partnership focuses on buying businesses for the long-term, partnering with strong management teams to drive sustained growth, and investing for financial returns and climate impact.

As an eighth-generation family company, our approach to business is informed by the values of the company and its family owners and integrating these considerations into our investments. Buildings represent approximately 40% of global carbon emissions, and electrifying our commercial buildings and making them more efficient is one of the biggest levers we have available to reduce carbon emissions.

This partnership will jointly source and invest in profitable companies that are implementing today’s climate technology to decarbonize commercial buildings. We are currently working with companies that offer full-suite energy services (ESCO), energy-as-a-service (EaaS), energy advisory, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering design, and energy monitoring.
